Saw these bugs from a distance while riding the bicycle
and thinking it was a Green Lynx Spider with an egg sac
I stopped to get a photo. Surprise!

These insects were on a Showy Rattlebox seed pod (Crotalaria spectabilis).
This 5th instar nymph stage of their development is their last developmental stage.
Sort of romantic to see that these two beautifully patterned green insects
managed to find each other in a vast world of green roadside vegetation
and appear to be spending some intimate moments together.
