The big Alabama Coastal Cleanup was just a few weeks ago. The once a year 4-hour cleanup event is about as effective removing storm water litter from the trash polluted Dog River watershed as removing the trash off just a single floor tile in a busy Walmart Store whose floor has not been cleaned in a year. Neither remove much trash Overall. Upper Dog River is still trashy as ever.
Despite past fines and lawsuits over the storm water litter, incredibly, neither the City of Mobile, County of Mobile, nor the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) or the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) have even bothered to start removing the waterway trash pollution from Dog River yet. Talk about stupid leadership.
Yeah Boy, Mobile City, County, State and ADEM leaders apparently think they can continue to let the Mobile Pigs (Criminal Littering Residents and Businesses) keep polluting Dog River watershed with storm water garbage (some hazardous), and continue to do nothing to get the trash pollution removed. Guess the Mayor and Mobile City Council members want to see the City of Mobile keep getting get sued.
Looks like I'll have to keep filing more complaints with the US EPA in hopes they will take legal action against the State of Alabama and the City of Mobile for doing nothing to get the pollution removed from Mobile's polluted waterways.
Talk is Cheap gentlemen. It is way past time to get someone out in Dog River in a boat and start removing Mobile's MS4 related storm water litter from Dog River watershed after heavy rains! You can't keep ignoring the hazardous material pollution problem in the Mobile public waterways without more serious consequences. Look at how much BP was sued for their negligence.
