Just another trash polluted Dog River tributary.
The Pope's visit to America has blanketed the news recently. This holy fiasco makes me laugh. In the photo at the link below you can see the Pope obviously worships images of the cross. There is a cross in front of him, he holds a cross, and there are crosses on his clothing. What did the 2nd of the Ten Commandments say? Thou shalt not make graven images or bow down and serve them. Here we have the Pope serving for the Cross. So what do the masses of brainwashed Christian people do? They kneel down in church in front of the graven cross images or Christ images and worship them. Isn't it moronic for the big Catholic leader of the world to be sinning by worshiping graven cross images? Then again, wasn't it the Catholic Church that mandated the Sabbath day of worship (Saturday) be changed to Sunday thereby breaking another Bible Commandment? All this Pope hypocracy reminds me of Kim Davis. Kim is the Jesus lover refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples because it is against her bible based religious principals. Based on Kim’s own religious biblical principals her current marriage license should have never been issued. Yeah, supreme marriage judge Kim Davis has been married four times and divorced three times so in the eyes of the Bible Kim now lives in an adulterous marriage. Mark 10:12 Worse yet, Kim Davis's current husband is one of her former husbands. That means her current marriage is an "Abomination before the Lord." Deuteronomy 24:4 Gluttony is one of Catholicism's Seven Deadly Sins. Obese Kim Davis looks like she has an overeating problem, too. Kim says on the news that she is not a hypocrite and is forgiven for her sins. HaHa! I pray Kim's God judges Kim as she judges others and sends that hypocritical gluttonous marriage judge who is still living in biblical sin according to her bible to hell. I know, it is ugly to say that. But, I have never met a Christian Bible Thumping Jesus Freak including every preacher I have met who could even name the Bible’s basic Ten Commandments. For Christians like Kim who use government to force their religious beliefs on people is an UGLY thing to do. Who are they to say their religion is the real one? After all, there are about 4299 other different religions in the world... With the big Coastal Cleanup event held about a week ago, how does Upper Dog River look now? Don't ask. All it takes is one rain to trash an area just cleaned. A pile of trash along your dock or waterfront shoreline is not the thing you want to see after spending big bucks for waterfront property and paying higher taxes for the privilege of living along the water. Despite a new litter trap, it looked like a litter bomb went off in upper Dog River. Of course, I just heard a City official on news saying the litter trap worked well because he didn’t see much trash downstream of the litter trap. Obviously the City official did not go downstream of the litter trap. Neither did the news reporter. That is why I do not trust local news anymore. I saw ZERO litter removal boats in action today despite the sicking amount of trash pollution after Sunday nights rain. The UGLY trashy scenery along Dog River just never changes because no one is employed to remove the community's trash after heavy rains with the exception of the easy to access trash at the litter trap and volunteer effort. The photos speak for themselves. Dog River still has a serious MS4 pollution problem. Where is ADEM? Yesterday I kayaked 7 miles in the Dog River, Moore Creek and McCullough Bayou areas. Shoreline trash was still visible almost the entire time along this paddle despite last weekend’s Coastal Cleanup. But, I did see an overall reduction of the easy to access trash especially on the west side of Moore Creek north of Lee's Lane and in the entire McCullough Bayou. Kudos to the Dog River watershed Coastal Cleanup team. It is not often that I see any visual reduction of storm water trash after a Coastal Cleanup Event. Every bit of trash removed means it will not be there for the next rain to move further downstream. It is too bad that the event is only 4 hours. An all weekend clean up event could remove four times as much trash producing even better results. Think Mobile's storm water trash is only confined to obscure drainage canals and urban creeks? Wrong. Storm water trash most likely from Three Mile Creek can be found lining Mobile River on both sides of the Mobile Convention Center and no one ever bothers to remove it even though the trash is easily accessible by foot. Trash was floating around in the water next to GulfQuest Museum this morning. One would think that with GulfQuest's grand opening today that the City would make sure the waterway by the Museum is clean. Wrong. The City of Mobile does not give a shit about floatable trash in its waterways. That much is obvious. Apparently the Mobile River Maritime Industry does not give a damn what floats around in Mobile River in front of the QulfQuest Maritime Museum either. Visitors should take their tourism business to a City that cares. ADEM or the US EPA should mandate by law that uncaring Ugly communities like Mobile (NPDES permit holders) that pollute their waterways with MS4 trash must employ an adequate workforce as needed to remove the community's litter from their waterways after each heavy rain so as to keep their public waterways relatively free of trash. It is pretty obvious in these photos that the recent Coastal Clean up failed to remove any shoreline trash from the entire Garrows Bend watershed. Isn't keeping our precious public waterways clean what the federal Clean Water Act mandates? Obviously someone is not administering ADEM NPDES permits in such a way that it keeps public waterways clean in compliance with the Clean Water Act. Someone in ADEM should go to jail for being complicit in the polluting of Alabama waterways with vast amounts of public litter and for ignoring the waterway trash pollution despite years of complaints. Why are most coastal community waterways in Mobile County lined with storm water trash pollution? Trash polluted waterways are the consequence of ADEM's complete failure to deal with the very visible storm water trash pollution of its many storm water permit holders. Then ADEM and the Communities just ignore the waterway pollution. Even the shoreline of little Bayou Coden was seen littered with trash AFTER last week's Coastal Cleanup. This week the Mobile City Council voted to approve putting in an ice skating rink for two months and even managed to get a corporate sponsor to donate $50,000 to help offset the cost. Wow, $50,000 could have employed a full time worker to remove trash from the trash polluted Three Mile Creek watershed for at least a full year. The City of Mobile and big business are quick to find money for an ice rink. When it comes to removing trash from its polluted waterways, the City of Mobile and big business won't even put one person to work removing the trash. As the Pope speaks about the importance of taking care of our Environment, the community of Mobile is trashing their precious waterways and totally ignoring the trash pollution. It is obvious to me from the seat of my Kayak that organized volunteer cleanups like the one held this past weekend are not removing the City's MS4 trash from these polluted waterways. Just look at these photos taken yesterday in the Three Mile Creek watershed. What Cleanup? The Alabama Department of Environmental Management and the United States Environmental Protection Agency are proving to be incapable of dealing with the simple trash pollution problem. Someone needs to be fired if not go to jail for ignoring the continuing violations of the federal Clean Water Act in Mobile. What is the simple problem? No one is removing the City's MS4 trash from our precious waterways. ZERO! What is the simple solution? The City or Corporate Sponsors need to put someone to work removing the trash from the City's precious waterways. Sadly, a stupid ass Ice Rink is more important than the City's polluted waterway environments. All the local Environmental Groups like Mobile Baykeeper and Mobile Bay National Estuary Program and Environmental Lawyers must have their head up their ass because they continue to ignore Mobile's obviously trash polluted waterways. There sure is some ugly leadership in Mobile. The thing to know here is the Mobile Community's trash running through in this Mobile Airport Authority ditch when it rains empties directly into Mobile Bay about a quarter mile away. What you see here is mostly plastic trash bags caught on the tree trunks or limbs. The rest of the storm water trash not caught on limbs ends up polluting the shoreline of Arlington Park where it is ignored by the City and State or is flushed out into Mobile Bay to end up on someone's shoreline further downstream. This 6th Street Ditch MS4 trash and the MS4 trash around the corner along Arlington Park was totally ignored during the recent Coastal Cleanup like usual. The Alabama National Guard and the US Coast Guard ignore the trash in this trashy ditch even though the ditch runs next to their facilities. The City of Mobile and the Mobile Airport Authority also ignore the trash pollution. The end result is one ugly ditch. AirBus must be proud to be part of the Trashy Brookley Aeroplex Complex located in Trashy Mobile. |
