The waterway trash visible in this photo along City of Mobile Dog River Park could easily be removed with a readily available pool net or a trash grabber. In other words, no boat necessary to remove this trash.
Pathetically, all combined, the City of Mobile, Mobile County, the State of Alabama, all the environmental agencies and watchdog groups, and all the boaters using Dog River, it is very obvious that none care about the trash floating in Dog River whether it's hazardous or not. Even after complaints, the trash in Mobile waterways is still ignored. But city workers got time to sit around wasting gas in their idling vehicles while talking with each other.
There are consequences for not caring. Instead of Mobile being known as the Azalea City, Mobile is increasingly becoming known as the Bay of Pigs where residents and businesses wallow in their own trash and sewage.
