Plastic Bottles.
It is these single one time use disposable containers polluting so much land and water in Mobile.
Bottlers should be held accountable for the role their product plays in the pollution of Mobile's waterways.
Like Coke.
I can't seem to get my local environmental organization, Mobile Baykeeper
to get the plastic bottles removed from the polluted waterway
a little over a mile from Mobile Baykeeper's office.
It is only a 1/4 mile long polluted drainage canal which Mobile Baykeeper
cannot find a creative solution or partnership to get cleaned up.
Then I note who is president of Mobile Baykeeper's organization.
Ray Mayhall, retired Senior VIce-President of Sales for Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
Wouldn't the public, after seeing images of their polluted waterways on the news,
feel more compelled to buy the magic fix, clean water in a plastic bottle?
The perception of the public waterways being polluted is good for bottled water sales.
Be weary of Environmental Groups like Mobile Baykeeper,
whose priority includes "Clean Water"
whose Board President is a former Coca-Cola Bottling Executive,
while the group ignores the plastic bottle pollution in their local waterways
despite complaint after complaint after complaint after complaint after complaint.
So much for that "Clean Water" priority eh?
Shame...Shame...Shame...
