Today was Bayou La Batre Blessing of the Fleet where a representative of the Catholic pedophile organization throws trash in the water to bless this community's shrimping fleet. Jesus, bless this Bayou of Trash.
Considering there is quite a bit of hazardous industrial trash along this shoreline, I wonder why the Alabama Department of Environmental Management does not fine the city of Bayou La Batre. Why isn't Mobile Baykeeper, who is all about coastal restoration, filing lawsuits to get this toxic Bayou cleaned up? Mobile Bay National Estuary Program is aware that waterway trash is becoming a problem but they'll get around to addressing the trash issue in the future. A Dauphin Island Sea Lab person thinks I'm sending the wrong message when I advocate there should be public workers removing trash from Mobile area trash impaired waterways full time. How dense does shoreline trash have to be before environmental agencies and groups decide to take action to get it cleaned up?
The many photos of the Bayou shoreline trash shown below, which you certainly won't see in the news coverage of the event, were taken along a one mile stretch on the west side of Bayou La Batre starting where it meets the Gulf of Mexico.
