Months ago it was reported that a convenience store on Montlimar Drive was the recent success of the City of Mobile's tough new litter code enforcement policy. Back then I rode by and saw a copious amount of litter on the ground at both stores.
Sometimes I jump the gun after checking into the validity of a news story and can come to a premature conclusion. So, I decided to revisit these two convenience stores months later to see if there if there is still loose litter on the ground. I wanted to see if the violations of the City's liter codes have been corrected yet.
Nope. No improvement. And one of these two gas stations is Mobile's litter enforcement success story? Yikes! Whoever is in charge of the City's municipal litter code enforcement in Mobile should be fired.
If no one expects and demands stores pick up the litter from their property they won't.
