Another Coastal Cleanup is over and Bayou La Trash is still polluted with trash. Am I the only one who thinks ignoring trash pollution in our precious waterways year after year is wrong?
Here are some photos of the Bayou La Batre shoreline taken today. This is AFTER the Coastal Cleanup held this past Saturday.
Annual 4-hour organized volunteer Coastal Cleanup events in Mobile County are about as effective as a using a 12 year old to clean out a full 5 thousand gallon septic tank using a thimble. Not much crap will be removed in four hours.
And this is how Bayou La Batre looks after years of complaints about the trash pollution to Environmental Enforcement Agencies and a host of other entities, legislators and the media?
Obviously the Alabama Department of Environmental Management and the United States Environmental Protection Agency do not give a shit how polluted Alabama waterways get. Got Cancer Yet?
