With the big Coastal Cleanup event held about a week ago, how does Upper Dog River look now? Don't ask. All it takes is one rain to trash an area just cleaned.
A pile of trash along your dock or waterfront shoreline is not the thing you want to see after spending big bucks for waterfront property and paying higher taxes for the privilege of living along the water.
Despite a new litter trap, it looked like a litter bomb went off in upper Dog River. Of course, I just heard a City official on news saying the litter trap worked well because he didn’t see much trash downstream of the litter trap. Obviously the City official did not go downstream of the litter trap. Neither did the news reporter. That is why I do not trust local news anymore.
I saw ZERO litter removal boats in action today despite the sicking amount of trash pollution after Sunday nights rain. The UGLY trashy scenery along Dog River just never changes because no one is employed to remove the community's trash after heavy rains with the exception of the easy to access trash at the litter trap and volunteer effort.
The photos speak for themselves. Dog River still has a serious MS4 pollution problem. Where is ADEM?
