Above Photo: Empty Info Tube at Arlington Park which was once used to hold the City of Mobile's "Illicit Discharges & Improper Disposals" brochure. Other City Parks also have these tubes which remain empty. This Info Tube once had a plastic cap covering the open end but now the missing plastic cap is probably polluting the Arlington Park wetland along with all the plastic bottles that are left there year after year. I wonder what City of Mobile idiot made the decision to buy and install these Info Tubes that are always left empty.
Where is the wisdom of putting a "No Dumping In the Storm Drains" sign in an area that has no storm drains? Duh! Guess this poorly placed City of Mobile sign and empty info tube are there so the City of Mobile can tell the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) that the City is doing Storm Water Pollution education. What a waste of Mobile taxpayer money.
Below Photo: Also noted in Arlington Park is a "Mutt Mitt" dispenser that is suppose to have bags in it that Dog owners can use to remove their Dog's shit after it defecates. Why am I not surprised to see that the only thing this Mutt Mitt dispenser at Arlington Park has inside it is trash. An unmaintained dispenser is yet another waste of taxpayer money and another stupid obstacle put in the grass to make mowing more difficult for Park Maintenance Personnel.
Welcome to Mobile where "Wasting Taxpayer Money" is apparently the name of their game when it comes to Environmental Management.
